Spring Training February 2025 Newsletter

Southwest Florida is the home to the Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins each February to late March for spring training in Fort Myers. This is a great opportunity for locals and snowbirds to watch MLB baseball games at a cheaper cost than regular season games and without driving to Tampa or Miami. Here is some information you should know if you’re looking to take in a spring training game:

Boston Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox play their home spring training games at JetBlue Park at Fenway South located at 11500 Fenway South Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33913. Opening day at JetBlue Park is February 21st at 1:05 pm. The gates open 90 minutes prior to the first pitch, and the cost of parking is included in your game ticket. Starting this year, the Red Sox will offer a pregame tour beginning three hours before the first pitch. The tour will offer a behind-the-scenes look at JetBlue Park and allow fans to watch batting practice up close on either the main field or back practice fields. Minnesota Twins

The Minnesota Twins play their home spring training games at Hammond Stadium at the Lee Health Sports Complex located at 14100 Six Mile Cypress Parkway, Fort Myers, FL 33912. Opening day at Hammond Stadium is February 22nd at 1:05 pm. Parking is $15, payable via credit card only, and the main gates open two hours prior to the first pitch. Several specials are regularly offered for Twins tickets, including a Meal Deal, which includes a Grandstand ticket, hot dog and Pepsi; Senior Day; and Salute to Service days for active military, first responders, veterans, police officers, EMTs, firefighters, and teachers.
