Fall in Southwest Florida 

Fall looks a little different in Southwest Florida. We may not have crisp mornings and colorful leaves, but we do have warm sunshine, beautiful sunsets, and more reasons to get outside as the summer heat eases. 

It’s a great time to visit a farmer’s market, take an evening walk, dine outdoors, or spend a day at the beach without quite as much summer heat. There are also plenty of traditional fall activities in Southwest Florida: 

• Pick pumpkins and sunflowers or try a corn maze at Farmer Mike’s U-Pick in Bonita Springs. Its 2026 fall festival runs through October 31. farmermikesupick.com 

  
  

• Take a hayride and see the scarecrows at Lakes Park in Fort Myers. Its Fall Festival and Scarecrows in the Park run October 9–31. Lakes Park 

  
  

• Visit a farm festival for pumpkins, animals, food, and live music, such as Southern Fresh Farms’ October events in Fort Myers. Southern Fresh Farms 

  
  

• Go to Oktoberfest in Cape Coral for German food, music, dancing, and family activities. Oktoberfest 

You'll also find experiences that feel distinctly Southwest Florida. Stroll through downtown Fort Myers during Art Walk, catch a sunset by the water, or watch artists transform the beach at November’s American Sand Sculpting Championship. American Sand Sculpting Championship
