Step Up For Students Scholarships Available to K-12 Students

The State of Florida recognizes that education isn't "one-size-fits-all". In Florida, we have "Step Up For Students," a Florida-based nonprofit scholarship funding organization that provides scholarships to K-12 students to attend private schools or access other approved educational options. Here are the scholarships offered to Florida students through the Step Up For Students organization:
Private School Scholarship: This scholarship is available to Florida students in grades K-12 (regardless of household income) for use on private school tuition and fees. The scholarship awards an average of $8,000 per student.
Unique Abilities Scholarship: This scholarship is available to Florida students with a qualifying diagnosis between the ages of 3 through 12th grade or age 22, whichever comes first. The scholarship amount averages $10,000, with funds available for tuition and fees for a private school, therapies, homeschooling options, tutoring, and more.
Personalized Education/PEP: The PEP scholarship provides K-12 Florida students who benefit from a parent-directed education program (regardless of household income) an average of $8,000 per year for homeschooling, tuition and fees, tutoring, instructional materials, physical education activities, and more.
New Worlds Scholarship: This scholarship is available to Florida public school students in VPK and grades K-5 who struggle with reading and/or math. The New Worlds Scholarship provides funds in an education savings account for expenses such as part-time tutoring, instructional materials, curriculum, and summer and after-school literacy programs.
Transportation Stipend: The Transportation Stipend supports the transportation costs of a K-8 student who attends a public school other than the one to which the student is assigned. The Stipend offers $750 per household.
Hope Scholarship: Students in K-12 who have experienced a qualifying bullying incident may apply for either an FTC or FES-EO scholarship at any time in the school year. The scholarship allows you to spend funds on tuition and fees, and any remaining funds on tutoring or after-school activities.
