Island Hopper Songwriter Fest | September 18–27

One of Southwest Florida’s signature music events is back! Catch singer-songwriters performing throughout Captiva, Cape Coral, Downtown Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach. Most of the 60+ performances are free, with special ticketed shows available too. (Island Hopper Fest) 

Fort Myers Art Walk | September 4

Spend Friday evening exploring Downtown Fort Myers, where galleries, local artists, shops and restaurants come together for one of the River District’s favorite monthly events. (Art Walk) 

Sanibel Island Sunrise Sale | September 5

More than 45 Sanibel businesses are participating in this island-style shopping event with special deals, dining and plenty of local fun beginning at 7:09 a.m. (Visit Fort Myers)

Wet Walks at Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve  

These begin in September and take visitors beyond the boardwalk into the wetlands with a guide; themed versions include photography and frog-focused walks. (Wet Walks)
